THEORY OF LIVING MATTER
Living systems have evolved intriguing mechanisms of self-regulation to unfold their physical shape, maintain their robust functioning, and integrate into their ecosystem.
From basal symmetry breaking during morphogenesis to allometric relationships spanning orders of magnitudes of species sizes, life demonstrates an extraordinary capacity for self-organisation that bridges physics, biology and ecology.
For nearly 15 years, I have been investigating the fundamental principles and mechanisms that underlie such self-organisation in living systems.
